Dr. Richard Carlino has owned the spa for 25 years and has a staff dedicated to providing the highest level of personal attention & care. We strive to serve our clients with combination of technical expertise and personal compassion. We work with you in a team approach to restore and create your desired result. Our highly trained specialists will ease you into each treatment. Meet the Team

RICHARD CARLINO, MD

Plastic Surgeon / Owner

Dr. Carlino is a highly respected and sought after Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. He is the owner of Carlino Aesthetics formerly known as The Museum Spa and Laser Center and has staffed the spa with a group of committed service providers that give our patients a memorable experience. Dr. Carlino has practiced Plastic Surgery for 35 years but will now be focusing his attention on removing skin cancers, thread lifts and other minor procedures. Dr. Carlino’s passion is helping people and he does it all for the glory of God. He is a member of Capital Community Church and attends Bible Study Fellowship. CASSANDRA KOONTZ, NP

Nurse Injector

Cassandra Koontz, NP, is an experienced aesthetic nurse practitioner serving the Raleigh, North Carolina area, known for delivering refined, natural-looking results through advanced, evidence-based treatments. With over 20 years in healthcare and more than a decade specializing in aesthetic medicine, she brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and artistic precision to every patient experience.

Cassandra specializes in full-face balancing and non-surgical facial and body rejuvenation, offering treatments such as neuromodulators, dermal fillers including Sculptra and hyperdilute Radiesse, P shot, O shot, PRP/PRF, and regenerative therapies. Her approach is centered on enhancing natural beauty—never overdone—helping patients look refreshed, confident, and like the best version of themselves.

In addition to her clinical work, Cassandra has served as an instructor with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and has trained providers at national conferences and educational events. She remains committed to staying at the forefront of the industry, bringing the latest techniques and innovations to her patients in a safe and personalized setting.

With a background in ICU, emergency medicine, and acute care, Cassandra prioritizes patient safety, precision, and trust. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming, professional environment where patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their care.

MALLORY BASS

Medical Aesthetician

Mallory’s passion for skincare began with her own struggle with cystic acne. After using every product she could find with disappointing results, her desire to understand her own skin lead her to pursue aesthetics. She has continued this drive, constantly expanding her knowledge to provide compassionate and results-driven care. When she is not in the treatment room, Mallory enjoys hiking, reading, exploring her home town of Raleigh, and spending time with two sons.

DEBBIE MCKENZIE

Spa Manager

Debbie has been a Medical Aesthetician since 2009 with extensive experience in both the Plastic Surgery and Dermatology fields. Although she is no longer in the treatment room, she is a wealth of knowledge and is happy to help our patients with any product or treatment questions and/or recommendations. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 adult daughters and 2 boxers.

LORA LYND

Patient

Coordinator

Lora is the smiling face you will see at our front desk. She is our Aesthetics Patient Coordinator and is here to help make your experience a positive and memorable one. Lora has over 10 years of experience in skin care as a licensed esthetician in three states, New Jersey, Arizona, and North Carolina. She also has over 20 years of customer service experience. When she is not assisting patients, she loves spending time with family and friends. She enjoys long walks and travel.
